Elton Jantjies is reportedly the subject of interest from French giants Toulon, who are prepared to offer the Springbok flyhalf a career lifeline.
According to Sunday newspaper Rapport, Jantjies will be made a free agent at the end of the year after Japan League One club Urayasu D-Rocks decided to terminate his contract.
The decision was made in the wake of the off-field saga involving Jantjies, which resulted in him being sent home from the Springboks’ camp in Argentina during the Rugby Championship.

However, it appears the 32-year-old playmaker could find a new home in France. According to RMC Sport, a France-based sports channel, Top 14 giants Toulon are on the hunt for a new flyhalf and have made contact with Jantjies.
Toulon have seen Louis Carbonel and Anthony Belleau leave for Montpellier and Clermont respectively, so would like to boost their depth in the No 10 position.
Jantjies spent a short period in the Top 14 with Pau during the 2020-21 season.
