The New Zealand U19s launched a four-match tour of South Africa with a resounding victory against their Western Province counterparts at the Markotter Stadium in Stellenbosch on Monday.
The New Zealand U19 squad, coached by former All Blacks hooker Mark Hammett, scored 14 tries to beat Western Province U19s 86-0.
The 30-man squad will play three more matches against age-group representative teams from the Sharks, Lions and Leopards.
This is the first New Zealand U19 Squad selected since the side that won the 2007 U19 World Championships.
From 2008, the New Zealand U19 and New Zealand U21 sides were disbanded to form the New Zealand U20 to compete at the annual World Rugby U20 Championship.
