The Stormers have sustained yet another big injury blow with news that flanker Schalk Burger will leave the squad and return to South Africa.
Before Saturday's match against the Brumbies in Canberra, Burger suffered a quad tear and was forced to withdraw. It's being reported that he will return to Cape Town in the coming days and begin his rehabilitation. He will be out of action for at least three weeks.
The Stormers have already lost a number of forwards to injuries this season, and will certainly miss a player of Burger's quality and experience when they tackle the Reds in Brisbane next weekend.
