Chiefs centre Robbie Fruean will undergo another heart procedure that will rule him out for eight weeks.

Fruean has already endured two heart surgeries, and complained of an arrhythmia after last Friday's battle with the Stormers. A third surgery will leave him sidelined for a substantial period.

To make matters worse, winger James Lowe and centre Charlie Ngatai will miss the Chiefs' next three matches due to injuries.

The Chiefs will play the Force in Perth this Saturday.
