Eddie Jones was left fuming after being called a ‘traitor’ by a Wallabies fan after England claimed a series win over Australia in Sydney on Saturday.
Jones’ men went behind 10-3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground, but bounced back with 18 unanswered points to take control and hold off a frantic late charge from the Wallabies.
After tries for Freddie Steward and Marcus Smith, England’s defence thwarted the Wallabies to claim a 21-17 victory and clinch the series 2-1.
The tourists became only the second England side to win a series in Australia after a historic whitewash in 2016, also with Jones in charge.
However, footage appeared on social media after the match showing Jones being taunted by a man wearing a Wallabies cap and holding a beer.

The supporter pointed at Jones and twice called him a “traitor”, prompting the England coach to walk over to the stands and reply, “come here and say it”.
Jones was ushered away by security, who also can be heard warning the fan.
“Clowns think they have full go to abuse coaches,” Jones told the Sydney Morning Herald about the incident.
Rugby Australia chairman Hamish McLennan condemned the incident in a statement to the newspaper.
“That fan’s behaviour is totally unacceptable and is not welcome at a Wallabies Test if he carries on like that,” McLennan said. “We should be acknowledging Eddie’s achievements as a great Aussie export. There’s too much ‘tall poppy syndrome’ in that comment.”
According to the report, it is understood that the fan involved has apologised to Jones via email.
