The Vodacom Bulls have bolstered their forward stocks after completing the signing of two promising loose forwards for next season.
Talented No 8 Mihlali Mosi joins the Bulls from the Free State Cheetahs on a three-year deal, and swiftly on the back of the arrival announcement of flank Phumzile Maqondwana for a two-year stint ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Identified as one of South Africa’s most exciting talents, the 26-year-old Mosi is an explosive and physical ball-carrier, while Maqondwana (25) makes the move to Loftus Versfeld after being a core member of the recently crowned Currie Cup champions Pumas.
Following the off-season departure of veteran Springbok Arno Botha, Mosi and Maqondwana are expected to reinforce the Bulls loose-trio department.
“We have been keeping a close eye on Mihlali Mosi and monitoring his steady and remarkable progress. We are really pleased to have managed to recruit him to the Bulls,” said Bulls director of rugby Jake White.
“Mihlali will be great value with his skill to a talented group of loose forwards in our arsenal currently. We are very excited to see what he will bring in the new season and over the next three years.”
