WP Rugby has obtained the required safety certificate for Newlands, which will allow the iconic venue to host the Rugby Championship Test between the Springboks and the All Blacks on 7 October.

SA Rugby has confirmed that WP Rugby’s application to obtain the necessary paperwork to declare Newlands safe was successful, and that the Springboks’ all-important home Test against the All Blacks will be staged at the stadium.

It will be the first All Blacks Test played at Newlands since 2008, when the visitors beat South Africa 19-0 in the then Tri-Nations.
