Former Kings flanker Wimpie van der Walt has joined the Vodacom Bulls on a short-term contract.
The 25-year-old, who plays for NNT Docomo in Japan, will spend two months in Pretoria to help fill the void left by injuries to Pierre Spies and Arno Botha.
'It is no secret that injuries have ravaged our loose forward stock and we are quite keen for Wimpie to join us as soon as possible. He had a stellar season with the Kings last year and will not only add versatility, but also depth to our squad,' said Bulls high performance manager Xander Janse van Rensburg.
Janse van Rensburg also confirmed that former Bulls captain Dewald Potgieter, now with Japan club Yamaha Jubilo, could join Van der Walt this week as negotiations on his availability are in an advanced stage.
