The Springboks have dropped to sixth in the World Rugby rankings, despite claiming a 37-15 win over France in Durban on Saturday.

South Africa rose two spots to fifth last week after their Loftus victory. Their ratings points tally increased by 0.76 from 82.87 to 83.63 after winning again at Kings Park, yet they have still slipped to sixth. 

This is because Scotland have climbed to fifth after their thrilling 24-19 win over Australia. The Scots were rewarded for their first-ever win in Sydney with a 1.72 rankings points increase.

In a direct swap, Ireland have overtaken the Wallabies in third place.
