Jake White has to make a call on the availability of a key Vodacom Bulls player and a possible positional change for the Vodacom United Rugby Championship final against the Stormers on Saturday.
The Bulls arrived in South Africa late on Monday and will have a short turnaround before taking on the Stormers in the URC decider at Cape Town Stadium this weekend.
David Kriel is in a race against time to be ready for the crunch clash, the Bulls right wing forced to leave the field in the first half of Friday’s exciting victory for the Bulls over Leinster at the RDS Arena.
He suffered a blow to the head in an attempt to tackle Leinster centre Robbie Henshaw, and was eventually taken off for a head injury assessment (HIA).
Kurt-Lee Arendse came on at fullback, with Canan Moodie shifting to his more familiar right-wing spot, and it worked out as they combined with No 11 Madosh Tambwe to deal with Leinster’s kicking barrage, while Arendse and Moodie also put pressure on the Irish defence with ball in hand.
The composition of the back three will be particularly important in the final based on the wet-weather forecast for Saturday.
