England’s loose forwards dominated the collisions and were primary to their historic series win against the Wallabies in Australia, according to SARugbymag.co.za's Opta-powered stats.
The English made 200 tackles to the 58 of the hosts and played the cleverer and more astute Test rugby to win 23-7.
Billy Vunipola (18), James Haskell (21) and Chris Robshaw (10) combined for 49 tackles and three crucial turnovers.
England were also tactically more aware and despite only having 30% of the ball they kicked more than Australia, whose attack was one-dimensional and impotent.
