The Brumbies stunned the Chiefs on Saturday in Hamilton to accelerate New Zealand’s sudden slide in Super Rugby Pacific.
The Australians made it three wins on the trot against Kiwi sides by taking advantage of some sub-par defending by the hosts in a 38-28 win at FMG Stadium.
Last week, the Waratahs put the Crusaders to the sword while the Canberrans humbled the Hurricanes 42-25 to go with an earlier victory over the Highlanders in Melbourne.

The Brumbies have now won four of their past five games and are pushing the Blues for top spot in the standings.
Saturday’s defeat also snapped a three-game streak for the Chiefs, who remain fourth.
In March, All Blacks greats Jeff Wilson and John Kirwan called for the axing of at least one Australian Super Rugby team, but have been made to eat their words after the latest performances by the Kiwi sides.
