Paarl Gimnasium demolished Helpmekaar while Rondebosch thrashed St. Andrew’s on an action-packed Saturday of schools rugby.
Paarl Gim cruised to a one-sided 59-12 victory at the annual Wildeklawer Festival in Kimberley. Also, Cape rivals Paarl Boys’ thumped Maritzburg College 38-3, while Paul Roos got the better of Glenwood 43-20.
However, Boland Landbou were on the wrong side of a 40-12 result against Grey College as Garsfontein romped past Framesby 45-13.
At the Selborne Festival in East London, Rondebosch claimed the biggest win of the day with a 47-7 hammering of St. Andrew’s.
Grey High were too good for St. John’s in a 33-7 triumph, while hosts Selborne closed out the day with a 24-8 win over SACS.
Outside the two festivals, the biggest game of the weekend saw KES make light work of Parktown Boys’ High 29-0.
