Former All Blacks ace Sonny Bill Williams is ready for his next bout, telling YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul that “if he wants some, he can get it”.
Williams was responding to Paul’s ‘call-out’, after the American social media personality named the New Zealander on his “hit list” of potential boxing opponents.
The 25-year-old was discussing potential fights on the podcast ‘The Fight’ when he mentioned Williams as a possible opponent.
“We’re still locking down opponents, there’s a lot of names,” Paul said.
“Floyd Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya, Anderson Silva, Michael Bisping, Tommy Fury, Sonny Williams [sic] out of Australia. There’s a lot of people on the hit list.”
Williams, who landed a first-round knockout on former AFL player Barry Hall last month and maintain his 9-0 record, responded to Paul on Twitter.
Looks like I’m on the hit list ?
I’m not gonna hate on this guy at all as I respect what he’s done. I also really respect his skillset as a boxer. But if he wants some he can get it! @jakepaul Yours respectfully – your first loss ?✊? pic.twitter.com/wuGpZsyWD8— Sonny Bill Williams (@SonnyBWilliams) April 14, 2022
