“I’ll be back” says Sbu Nkosi, after the injured Springbok had surgery in a bid to end a run of misfortune and return to the playing field.
The Bok and Sharks wing posted a social media update on his successful ankle operation, saying he’ll be “back soon to entertain fans”.
“To those who have been sour about my absence, clear your throats in time so you don’t choke on your words when it’s time to swallow them,” he wrote.
Nkosi has not played for the Sharks since the 26 February match against Italian side Benetton, amid speculation that the 26-year-old could be set to join the Vodacom Bulls.
His initial absence from the team was due to a gastric intestinal virus, before he sustained an injury to his ankle at training.
Sharks coach Sean Everitt said that while Nkosi “has been offered to go to the Bulls”, nothing was set in stone yet.
