With the Stormers and Vodacom Bulls in red-hot form and restrictions being eased on stadium attendance, all eyes will be on Cape Town Stadium for Saturday’s titanic north-south derby.
The Bulls fans showed what could be done with more than 19,000 roaring their team on in a 34-16 win over Ulster at Loftus Versfeld. While considerably less attended the Stormers’ 29-13 triumph over Ospreys, Keo.co.za’s Oliver Keohane extols the experience of being in the stands for the Cape side’s success.
Now, every effort is being made to encourage more bodies through the turnstiles in the shadow of Table Mountain on Saturday, with the Stormers selling tickets for R50 in block 122 to assist a supporter-led drive to get more bums on seats.
Watched the @THESTORMERS put away the Ospreys this weekend in my first live rugby match in over two years. We’ll be front row again for @BlueBullsRugby this weekend! #URC hopefully with a couple more supporters among us ? pic.twitter.com/MQ32ZZQhGI
