The four nominees are:

Alex Cuthbert
The Wales wing was unstoppable in the first half of the Nelspruit Test. His powerful run set up a try for Jamie Roberts and he then crashed over himself from close range to make it 17-0.

Victor Matfield
The Bok lock had a solid game at the lineout, and his leadership was telling in what was a close finish.

Julian Savea
The All Blacks wing scored two early tries and one after the full-time hooter for a hat-trick against England that takes his Test record to 23 tries in 22 matches.

Will Skelton
The lock had a dream Test debut against France in Sydney, scoring a try inside the first 10 minutes and offloading to Israel Fola for the wing's second score. He also tackled well and made an impact at the breakdown.
