The Vodacom Bulls have announced the signing of former Junior Springbok and Lions lock Ruan Vermaak.
The 23-year-old is set to arrive at Loftus Versfeld on 1 July on a three-year deal. A former SA Schools A player, Vermaak was a member of the Lions squad before following Johan Ackermann to Japan League One club Red Hurricanes in 2021.
Vermaak is known as a hard-working individual and he offers Jake White the versatility of a forward playing in both the second and back row.
“We are excited to have a young, talented and versatile player like Ruan Vermaak joining our ranks as we continue to build and strengthen our squad,” said the Bulls director of rugby.
“We have no doubt that Ruan will add immense value to the team and the future of Vodacom Bulls rugby. We are also confident that he will continue to grow to become one of the top rugby players in South Africa.”
