Scotland moved up two places in the latest IRB world rankings following their win over the USA.
The victory allowed the Scots to move above Argentina after the South Americans suffered their first defeat to Ireland on home soil.
Samoa were the other losers, after drawing against 13th-placed Tonga in their Pacific Nations Cup opener.
The rest of the top 10 remained unchanged.
