Springbok centre Damian de Allende has recovered from injury in time to be named in Munster’s squad to face the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
De Allende has recovered from an abdomen injury to take his place among the replacements and could make his first appearance since January.
Should he come onto the field, he would be up against the Bulls’ Harold Vorster and Lionel Mapoe in what could be a tasty midfield clash.
Despite making seven changes to the side that hammered Dragons at Thomond Park last weekend, Munster coach Johann van Graan has still been able to name a fairly strong starting lineup.
There are eight Ireland-capped players in the starting XV, including fullback Mike Haley, wing Simon Zebo, centre pair Chris Farrell and Rory Scannell, captain Jack O’Donoghue, lock Jean Kleyn, tighthead prop Stephen Archer and hooker Niall Scannell.
Kleyn and loose-forward Chris Cloete join De Allende as South African players in Munster’s squad.
Munster – 15 Mike Haley, 14 Calvin Nash, 13 Chris Farrell, 12 Rory Scannell, 11 Simon Zebo, 10 Ben Healy, 9 Neil Cronin, 8 Alex Kendellen, 7 Chris Cloete, 6 Jack O’Donoghue (c), 5 Fineen Wycherley, 4 Jean Kleyn, 3 Stephen Archer, 2 Niall Scannell, 1 Josh Wycherley.
