Sharks coach Sean Everitt has tinkered with his matchday squad, reinforcing the bench with Curwin Bosch and Sikhumbuzo Notshe the Vodacom United Rugby Championship clash against the Vodacom Bulls in Pretoria on Saturday.
The Sharks beat the Bulls 30-16 in December and will be aiming to sweep their Highveld rivals in the return fixture at Loftus Versfeld this coming weekend.
Everitt has made three changes to last week’s side, giving Gerbrandt Grobler a start in the second row with Ruben van Heerden moving to the bench. In the other change to the pack, the experienced Henco Venter comes in for youngster Jeandre Labuschagne at blindside flank.
After big performances in leading the Sharks in the Currie Cup, Marius Louw is called up to the URC side where he slots in at inside centre, with captain Lukhanyo Am reverting to outside centre in place of Jeremy Ward.
Commanding performances at Currie Cup level have also been rewarded elsewhere as Springboks Notshe and Bosch have been named to the bench after returning from injury to play important roles in last week’s 35-20 victory over Western Province.
Saturday’s clash kicks off at 5.05pm.
