Blitzboks head coach Neil Powell has linked up with the Sharks for a brief spell ahead of their crucial Vodacom United Rugby Championship clash with the Vodacom Bulls on Saturday.
Powell will spend the week with the Sharks as the current World Sevens Series takes a break until April.
The 43-year-old will only permanently join the Sharks coaching staff after the Cape Town-hosted Sevens World Cup in September.
He watched the team’s training as an interested spectator on Tuesday as the Sharks prepared for their match against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld.
Powell is expected to take charge of the Sharks’ defence when he joins in a permanent capacity later this year.
The match is set to kick off at 5.05pm on Saturday.
