A report in the Telegraph suggests the England player who stands accused of rape was not part of Eddie Jones’ last squad and is also not in the coach’s plans for the upcoming Six Nations.
According to various UK reports, an England international had been arrested this past Sunday following a report of an attack on a teenage girl the day before in Manchester.
The identity of the player has not been revealed for legal reasons and the Rugby Football Union declined to not comment on the matter.
But according to the Telegraph, the accused player was not in England’s squad for their 2021 end-of-year Tests against Tonga, Australia and South Africa and he is definitely not in contention for selection for the Six Nations, which kicks off on 5 February.
