Edwill van der Merwe will make his Lions debut against the Stormers in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.
Head coach Ivan van Rooyen has named an unchanged lineup from the side he selected to play against Cardiff Rugby last week before the fixture was cancelled.
Van der Merwe – who recently joined the Lions from the Stormers – starts on the right wing, while there are also timely returns for Willem Alberts and Tiaan Swanepoel from long-term injuries.
The only change to the match-day 23 from the one that would have faced Cardiff, is the inclusion of Jannie du Plessis as tighthead cover on the bench in place of Ruan Dreyer.
