Kurtley Beale will make his return to Australia’s starting lineup as Wallabies coach Dave Rennie has been forced to make a handful of changes to the team to face England at Twickenham on Saturday.
Beale, who was on the bench against Scotland, will start his first Test since the 2019 World Cup as he has replaced the injured Jordan Petaia at fullback. As a result, Andrew Kellaway shifts back to his regular position on the wing.
Rennie has also been forced to change the Wallabies’ starting props as both Allan Alaalatoa and Taniela Tupou have been ruled out of the Test due to concussion.
Regular loosehead prop James Slipper will shift across to tighthead prop, while Angus Bell has been promoted from the bench. Slipper will be starting a Test at tighthead for the first time since facing New Zealand in the position in 2012.
Props Tom Robertson and Oli Hoskins have been named on the bench, with Hoskins set to make his Test debut. Hooker Tolu Latu has been added to the bench and he will be making his first appearance since 2019.
Noah Lolesio is the other new addition among the substitutes after missing the Test against Scotland.
