Lions flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse has been ruled out for at least three months after suffering a fractured ankle against Scarlets this past weekend.
In an official statement on Monday, the Lions confirmed the injury to their star flyhalf:
Lions flyhalf Jordan Hendrikse fractured his right ankle during the Lions’ second round match against Scarlets in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
Hendrikse will be traveling back to South Africa for possible surgery. The young playmaker is expected to be out of action for at least three months.
If Hendrikse does undergo surgery, he will be out for longer than three months and will then definitely only be back in action in 2022.
