Springbok fullback Willie le Roux is on the cover of the new issue of SA Rugby magazine, on sale now.
Le Roux had an excellent June Test series, sparking the Bok comeback in Nelspruit that saw them score two late tries to win 31-30. After that match, Bok coach Heyneke Meyer and Wales coach Warren Gatland both called him the best fullback in the world.
In SA Rugby magazine, chief rugby writer Jon Cardinelli looks at how Heyneke Meyer and his Bok coaching staff have helped Le Roux to evolve his game since making his Test debut.
Le Roux also talks about the progress he has made and how he now plays the situation.
'What I’ve learned since making my debut is you can’t rely on running yourself out of trouble every time, you have to be able to use tactical kicking to get yourself out of trouble too,' he says.
