As South Africa prepares for the centenary Test against New Zealand, the latest issue of SA Rugby magazine looked back on three of the best showdowns between the Springboks and All Blacks since the game turned professional.
The 24-23 comeback win at Kings Park in 1998, the epic 32-29 victory in Hamilton in 2009 and the breath-taking 36-34 win at the Cake Tin in 2018 made the cut, but the Best of the Rest list includes a host of blockbuster clashes.
There’s Ricky Januarie’s audacious solo try in the historic win at Carisbrook in 2008 and Marius Joubert’s hat-trick at Ellis Park in 2004, the Boks’ biggest win against the All Blacks in the professional era.
Now it’s time for you to vote for the best Test in this glorious rivalry!
