Coach Robbie Fleck believes there is still more work to be done for the Stormers despite their 43-7 pre-season win over the Cheetahs in Harare on Saturday.
The Stormers ran in seven tries on their way to a convincing victory, but Fleck conceded that he is under no illusions about where his team is in terms of their readiness for Super Rugby.
'We saw a few glimpses of the hard work we did in pre-season training, but we are certainly not there yet and we have still got a long way to go,' said Fleck.
Fleck was particularly impressed with the tries they scored, but was quick to downplay the importance of it all.
'There are still four weeks until our opening Super Rugby game against the Bulls and there is still a lot of work to do,' he said.
'It is now back to the drawing board, where we'll review the game. It's an opportunity for us to give some feedback to the players and knuckle down and get back to work.'
There were also no reported injuries for the Stormers after the game.
'Everyone had a fair bit of game-time and we came away with no injuries, so we are very happy that everyone had an opportunity,' explained Fleck.
