It has been confirmed that Springbok lock RG has returned to Limerick to continue his rehabilitation from a skin graft procedure and knee injury at Munster.
Snyman’s long-awaited return to action is set to continue for a few more weeks at least after he left the Springbok camp earlier than expected to rejoin Munster’s squad in Limerick.
The Bok lock hasn’t played since last year August when he suffered an ACL injury on his debut for Munster.
Having been on course to return from injury in May, he suffered a setback with his knee, before a freak accident with a fire-pit led to him requiring a skin graft. Fellow Springbok Damian de Allende also suffered burns during the same accident, but his injuries were superficial.
Snyman joined the South Africa squad for their Lions series preparations last month in the hope of being fit in time to play a part in the three Tests, but it has now been confirmed by Munster that he has returned to Limerick in order to continue his rehab from both his knee injury and his burn.
