Fijian-born Brumbies winger Henry Speight will become eligible to play for the Wallabies from 11 September 2014.
The speedster had a stellar 2012 and 2013 season, which raised notions that he could break into the Wallabies squad. However, due to his heritage, he is required to live in Australia for a consecutive 36-month period to become eligible for the national side.
The IRB Regulations Committee panel therefore confirmed that Speight could be eligible to represent Australia by 11 September.
This puts Speight in good stead ahead of the 2015 Rugby Cup, if he continues his impressive performances for the Brumbies in 2014.
