Mzwandile Stick is set to vacate his position as Springbok backline coach to join the Junior Boks and the Blitzboks management teams.
An SA Rugby spokesperson told Rapport newspaper that Stick and defence coach JP Ferreira, who came in on a short-term deal last November, will be relieved of their Springbok duties, with Cheetahs coach Franco Smith and Italy defence coach Brendan Venter in line to replace them.
OPINION: SA Rugby set Stick up to fail
Although an official announcement will be made on Monday, it is believed Stick and Leopards coach Jonathan Mokuena will be named as assistant coaches of the Junior Boks, with Chean Roux as head coach.
It is not yet clear what Stick’s role within the Blitzboks setup will be, but the 32-year will also be involved with the Springbok Sevens team before and after his commitments with the SA U20 side.
