The Hurricanes overturned an eight-point half-time deficit to clinch a 33-27 win over the Crusaders in a pre-season game in Waverley on Friday.
The Canes fielded virtually two different teams in each half, with the Crusaders' best combination of the day starting off the match, which certainly had a bearing on proceedings as the visitors took a 27-19 lead at half-time.

Seta Tamanivalu scored a hat-trick for the Crusaders, but it was not enough for the Christchurch-based side as they failed to trouble the scorers in the second half.
Instead, Nehe Milner-Skudder and Ngani Laumape dotted down to go along with two first-half tries to Wes Goosen, and another to Beauden Barrett, as the Canes ultimately ran away with the win.
