The Sharks have said they will do everything in their power to retain the services of Cobus Reinach and Etienne Oosthuizen, who have been linked to overseas clubs.

Both players have contracts that run until the end of October, but Northampton and Lyon are believed to be looking to lure Reinach and Oosthuizen to their clubs.

'We are aware of the recent reports linking two of our players to overseas clubs,' the Sharks said in a statement. 'We are in discussions with these players, together with other players whose contracts expire this year regarding contract extensions.

'We understand fully the lure of the pound and euro and we will do everything we can to retain our players.'
