The key moments from the Vodacom Super Rugby match between the Lions and Stormers at Ellis Park, according to SIMON BORCHARDT.

2nd minute – The Lions send the ball wide to Warren Whiteley, who breaks through a gap between Manuel Carizza and Siya Kolisi and puts Stefan Watermeyer away with a perfectly-timed pass.

8th minute – Having slotted a drop goal three minutes earlier, Marnitz Boshoff kicks another from 50m out.

23rd minute – Trailing 19-0, the Stormers turn down an easy three points and kick a penalty into touch. The lineout driving maul results in another penalty and another kick to the corner. This time, though, the Lions can't stop the maul and Scarra Ntubeni is driven over for a converted try.

39th minute – Trailing 22-7, the Stormers attack inside the Lions' 22 for a try that will bring them right back into the game but Steven Kitshoff knocks on.

45th minute – Duane Vermeulen breaks away from a 5m scrum, but is stopped just short of the line by Boshoff. Siya Kolisi then has a go, but knocks on in contact.
