Former SA U19, Lions and Boland coach Eugene Eloff will look to unearth new talent as the new Border Bulldogs coach.

Eloff, who finished a four-year stint at the Boland Kavaliers last year, will coach the Eastern Cape side during their 2014 Vodacom Cup season.

Eloff will have a tough task at hand, as Border currently only have 12 contracted players and are in dire financial trouble, however he believes that he can find young and exciting prospects by integrating club players into the provincial team.

During his time at Boland, he has mentored successful players such as Willie le Roux and SA Sevens star Cornell Hendricks and believes there are diamonds to be found in the Border rough.
