Boland have appointed Randall Modiba as head coach until the end of the 2018 season.
Modiba, who was the team's defence coach during the 2016 Currie Cup Qualifiers, and the attack and backline coach in the Premier Division, takes over from Brent Janse van Rensburg, who resigned two months ago.
The Boland Rugby Union confirmed on Monday that Modiba had signed a two-year deal, effective from 1 January. He will be assisted by Henley du Plessis, Jacques du Toit and Dunia Mouneimne.
'My primary purpose will be to help take Boland rugby to greater heights,' said Modiba.
'This means that my work won’t end with the Cavaliers, but to ensure we work and develop all the talented players within the union's club structures.'
