Scrumhalf Ricky Schroeder will captain the EP Kings against the Bulls in Pretoria on Friday after Schalk Ferreira was ruled out with an injury.

Ferreira sustained a groin strain in last week's defeat to the Cheetahs and has been replaced on the loose-head side by Justin Forwood. At No 5 lock, Cornell Hess makes way for David Antonites.

In the backline, Alcino Izaacs is replaced by Burton Klaasen in the run-on XV. Klaasen will, however, play outside centre in place of Johan Tromp who shifts to fullback, while Siviwe Soyizwapi moves from fullback to wing.
